The Foundation of the Huntington Hounds Baseball
Program is built on three commitments:
One
– I
will live by the Golden Rule. To live by the Golden Rule means that I will
treat others the way I want others to treat me.
Two
– I will
commit myself to EXCELLENCE. This includes the following:
1. I
will strive to be the best I can be every day I wear the Uniform
2. I will conduct myself with class as a
person and as an athlete
3. I will be on time everyday for practice and for games always present myself
as a Hounds player should present themselves.
4. I will respect the game.
5. I will ask more out of myself than I ever
have before.
6.
I will accept constructive criticism.
7.
I will study the game. WE ARE NEVER GOOD ENOUGH.
8.
I will always respect my opponent but
never fear my opponent.
9.
I will avoid the
our goals.
10.
I will play every game as if it were my
last.
Three
- I believe that the team is the most important. I will not put myself above
the team. I understand what it means and
takes to be a member of the 2008 Huntington Hounds Baseball Team and I am
willing to make those three commitments.
I will accept my role – whatever it may be. If I am unable to accept my role then I will
no longer have the opportunity to be a member of this organization and I will
turn my uniform in to my coach.
